Programme Assessment
PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATION PART I
This examination will be conducted at the end of semester 2 (end of Year 1). This examination is for Master in Clinical programme and Master in Dental Sciences programme candidates.
Eligibility to sit for examination
Candidate must fulfilled all necessary requirements that has been stated in every courses in the Course Manual and from the particular department.
Passing level
Candidate must pass all components in the examination with marks more than 60% of the total marks.
Conditional passing level
Candidate must sit for reseat examination in the components that they failed. Reseat examination will be conducted 6 weeks after the beginning of Professional Examination Part I. Failure in this examination will lead to repeatition of the whole year. Candidate will be given 3 chances to reseat this examination.
Failure level
Candidate will be expelled from the programme in failure to succeed during repeatition of the academic year.
PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATION PART II
This examination consist of defend of the thesis and oral presentation (vice voce). Candidate is required to submit 2 copies of their binded thesis to the specialty department. Candidate must fulfilled all requirements that has been set by their specialty department, for example number of publication or case report. For Master in Clinical programme (DClinDent) candidate, research component is part of graduation requirement. For Master in Dental Sciences and Doctor of Philosophy programmes, research component is the graduation requirement.
This examination is conducted at the end of semester 8 (end of Year 4). It is applicable to candidate in Master in Clinical programme.
Eligibility to sit for examination
Candidate must fulfilled all necessary requirements that has been stated in every courses in the Course Manual and from the particular department.
Passing level
Candidate must pass all components in the examination with marks more than 60% of the total marks.
Conditional passing level
Candidate must sit for reseat examination 6 weeks after the beginning of Professional Examination Part III. Failure in this examination will lead to repeatition of the whole year, subjected that candidate must not exceed the maximum 7 year period of study.
Failure level
Candidate will be expelled from the programme in failure to pass the examination until the maximum of 7 years period of study.
Pass in Professional Examination Part I and III
Pass in research component (Part II) in the respective specialty
Fulfilled the requirements of ‘Peraturan dan Akta Pengajian Sarjana’
Granted by the Faculty and approved by the Senate
Must clear from any debt from the University
