1.0 PENGENALAN  INTRODUCTION

 

Kem kepimpinan pelajar ini merupakan anjuran Pusat Kepelbagaian Pelajar, Fakulti Pendidikan UKM dan Sekolah Menengah Penarek. Ada beberapa objektif pelaksanaan program ini. Kem Kepimpinan Pelajar ini bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti bakat dan perwatakan kepimpinan dalam kalangan pemimpin pelajar sekolah Menengah. Kem Kepimpinan ini juga adalah bertujuan untuk memupuk kemahiran kepimpinan serta sikap yang positif dalam menangani masalah tingkah laku pelajar di sekolah.

Student leadership camp was organized by Centre for Studies on Learner Diversity, Faculty of Education and Penarek Secondary School. There are several objectives of this program. Student Leadership Camp aims to identify leadership talent and character among secondary school student leaders. This Leadership Camp is also intended to foster leadership skills as well as nurturing positive attitude in dealing with behavioral problems in school.

2.0 LATAR BELAKANG   BACKGROUND

 

Program Kem Kepimpinan Pelajar anjuran Pusat Kepelbagaian Pelajar, Fakulti Pendidikan UKM dan Sekolah Menengah Penarek ini mengambil tempat pada hari Rabu,3 Ogos 2016 di Dewan Budiman, Fakulti Pendidikan, UKM. Program ini dihadiri oleh 69 orang peserta iaitu pengawas SMK Penarek, Terengganu dan juga Guru-guru SMK Penarek. Pengarah Projek bagi program ini logo2ialah Dr. Mahzan bin Awang, timbalan ketua Pusat Kepelbagaian Pelajar UKM. Program ini juga dihadiri oleh Dekan Fakulti Pendidikan, UKM, Prof. Dr. Norazah Mohd Nordin. Program ini juga dibantu oleh fasilitator dari UKM. Ketua Pusat Kepelbagaian Pelajar, Prof. Madya Dato’ Dr. Abdul Razaq Ahmad telah memberikan ucapan aluan.

Student Leadership Camp Program was organized by Center for Student Diversity, Faculty of Education and Penarek Secondary School which took place on Wednesday, 3rd of August, 2016 in Budiman Hall, Faculty of Education, UKM. The program was attended by 69 participants comprises of the prefects from Penarek Secondary School, Terengganu as well as the teachers. The director for this program is Dr. Mahzan bin Awang, deputy head of the Center for Student Diversity, UKM. The program was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, UKM, Prof. Dr. Norazah Mohd Nordin. This program was also assisted by facilitators from UKM. Prof. Madya. Dato ‘Dr. Abdul Razaq Ahmad as the Head of Centre for Studies on Learner Diversity, gave a welcoming speech.

 AKTIVITI-AKTIVITI YANG DILAKUKAN  

ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED

 

AKTIVITI 1 : PENYELESAIAN MASALAH

Activity 1: PROBLEM SOLVING

Aktiviti ini merupakan salah satu aktiviti untuk memupuk kemahiran Menyelesaikan Masalah. Aktiviti ini dikendalikan oleh fasilitator program ini. 69 peserta SMK Penarek telah dibahagikan kepada 5 kumpulan. Setiap kumpulan terdiri daripada seorang fasilitator untuk membimbing pelajar. Fasilitator menjelaskan dan juga memberi idea tentang aktiviti ini kepada ahli kumpulan. Dalam aktiviti ini setiap kumpulan diberi satu contoh masalah yang berlaku di sekolah. Setiap kumpulan dikehendaki berbincang dengan ahli kumpulan dan memutuskan jalan peneyelesaian yang paling tepat untuk masalah yang diberikan. Setiap kumpulan juga diberikan kertas majung untuk pembentangan aktiviti Kemahiran Menyelesaikan Masalah. Pembentangan aktiviti ini mengambil masa selama 30 minit. Setiap kumpulan diberikan masa 5 sehingga 8 minit untuk membentang. Setiap kumpulan juga perlu mempunyai nama kumpulan, tagline dan juga visi kumpulan mereka. Fasilitator telah menilai persembahan setiap kumpulan.

This activity was one of the activities aimed to cultivate problem solving skill. This activity was conducted by the program facilitators. 69 participants from Penarek Secondary School were divided into 5 groups where each group consisted of a facilitator to guide them. The facilitator explained and gave an idea about this activity to the group members. In this activity, each group was given a problem example that occurred at school. Each group had to discuss with group members and decided the most appropriate way to solve the given problem. Each group was also given a paper for presentation on Problem Solving Skills activity. The presentation for this activity took 30 minutes. Each group was given 5 to 8 minutes to present. Each group should have a group name, tagline as well as the group vision. The facilitator has to assess the performance of each group.

AKTIVITI 2: KEMAHIRAN KEPIMPINAN

ACTIVITY 2: LEADERSHIP SKILLS

Aktiviti kedua merupakan pertandingan kawad berlagak dan juga “Message from the leader”. Dalam aktiviti ini semua ketua dan penolong ketua kumpulan diminta berkumpul di luar dewan gemilang. Pelajar-pelajar lain dalam kumpulan masing-masing melakukan kawad berlagak mengikut arahan fasilitator. Markah juga diberi oleh fasilitator kepada setiap kumpulan dalam pertandingan ini. Ketua dan penolong ketua kumpulan diberi satu tugasan lain iaitu mereka diberi satu gambar yang mereka akan menyuruh ahli kumpulan mereka untuk melukis. Ketua dan penolong ketua setiap kumpulan dikehendaki menjelaskan kandungan gambar itu kepada ahli kumpulan dengan hanya menggunakan isyarat tangan. Ahli kumpulan perlu melukis gambar mengikut isyarat tangan ketua dan penolong ketua kumpulan. Aktiviti ini dilakukan untuk mengenal pasti kemahiran kepimpinan dalam kalangan pemimpin.

The second activity is marching competition and also the “Message from the leader.” In this activity, all leader and assistant leader of the group were requested to gather outside of the hall. The other students in their respective group will march in accordance to facilitators’ instructions. Marks were also given by the facilitator to each group in the competition. The leader and assistant leader of the group were given another assignment which they were given a picture and requested their group members to paint. The leader and assistant leader of each group is required to explain the content of the picture to the group only using hand signals. Group members need to paint the picture according to the hand signal of their leader and assistant leader of the group. These activities were carried out to identify the leadership skills among the leaders.

3.0 HURAIAN PENILAIAN

        DESCRIPTION OF ASSESSMENT

Secara keseluruhan, program ini telah memberikan pengalaman baru kepada peserta iaitu pengawas SMK Penarek, Terengganu. Program ini juga telah meningkatkan pengetahuan dalam kemahiran kepimpinan melalui ucapan dan juga aktiviti yang telah dilakukan dalam program ini. Program ini juga telah memberi peluang untuk menunjukkan bakat kepimpinan mereka.

Overall, this program has provided a new experience for the participants, which were the school prefects of Penarek Secondary School, Terengganu. The program has also enhanced the leadership skills through speeches and activities that have been conducted in this program. The program also provides opportunities for the students to demonstrate their leadership skills.

4.0 PENCAPAIAN AKTIVITI

        ACHIEVEMENT OF ACTIVITIES

Kem Kepimpinan Pelajar berjaya mencapai matlamat dan objektif program ini iaitu untuk mengenalpasti bakat dan perwatakan kepimpinan dalam kalangan pemimpin pelajar sekolah Menengah. Kem Kepimpinan ini juga telah berjaya memupuk kemahiran kepimpinan serta sikap yang positif dalam menangani masalah tingkah laku pelajar di sekolah.

The Student Leadership Camp successfully achieved the goals and objectives of this program which was to identify leadership talent and character among the student leaders in Secondary School. This Leadership Camp has also managed to cultivate leadership skills and promoted positive attitudes in dealing with behavioral problems in school.

6.0 CADANGAN    SUGGESTION

  1. Pihak yang terlibat perlu memastikan program berlangsung mengikut masa dan jadual yang ditetapkan
  2. Pihak yang terlibat sentiasa peka dengan perubahan dalam jadual program dan aktiviti yang dilakukan
  3. Meningkatkan ucapan motivasi daripada pensyarah kepada pelajar
  4. Meningkatkan aktiviti kumpulan yang menguji bakat kepimpinan pelajar.
  5. Melakukan aktiviti yang unik dan berkesan dalam memupuk kemahiran kepimpinan pelajar.

8.0 Penutup

Secara keseluruhan, program ini telah memberikan pengalaman baru kepada peserta iaitu pengawas SMK Penarek, Terengganu. Program ini juga telah meningkatkan pengetahuan dalam kemahiran kepimpinan melalui ucapan dan juga aktiviti yang telah dilakukan dalam program ini. Program ini juga telah memberi peluang untuk menunjukkan bakat kepimpinan mereka.
