Objectives

EOC was set up with the following objectives:

To conduct research on the applications of satellite technology in earth research to address the question of global and the environmental change.
To expand this knowledge on earth through strategic networking the world's leading research bodies or institutes and also with scientists who take up position as fellow researchers.
To develop and upgrade the research centre to be on equal standing with the Institute for research in the world.
To function as a refer all centre in the latest satellite technologies related to Earth Observation in Malaysia or in the region.
To function as a centre that is capable of generating revenue through contract research, consultancy, training and extension works.
To develop expertise and research at Masters, Doctoral and Post Doctoral.
To conduct related to strategic and security issues.
To function as a referral centre for Remote Sensing in Malaysia.
