Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours)


Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours offered by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) aimed to provide full time training for future pharmacist.


To develop graduates who could value principle of diseases and therapeutic approach in the strive to improve pharmaceutical services. Graduates are also trained to inculcate in them profesional resposibilities and etchical values.

Duration of Study and Total Unit

This is a four year programme. Total units needed for graduation is 169 which include compulsory courses fixed by the programme (145 units), faculty (4units), co-curiculum (8 units) and university (12 units). Upon completion of the study, students will be awarded with the Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours [Sm Far(Kep)] Degree.

General University requirement :

Passed SPM (or equivalent) with honours in Bahasa Malaysia/Melayu.

Specific course requirement :

Minimum CGPA of 3.50, with minimum B in
1. Chemistry
2. Biology
3.Mathematics/Mathematics T/Advanced Mathematics T


Minimum B in 5 SPM subjects, including
1. Chemistry
2. Biology
3. Mathematics/Additional Mathematics
4. Physics
5. 1 other subject


Passing with a minimum of C for SPM Bahasa Malaysia/Melayu and English


Achieving a minimum of Band 3 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)

(*Note : Minimum 1 year program)

Candidates are also required to pass any interviews or exams set by the Faculty.
