Entry Requirements

Master of Health Science with specialization in Dietetics

• Bachelor Degree in related field with a good Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from any Institution of higher learning recognized by the Senate; or
• Other qualification; equivalent to a Bachelor Degree and other qualification or experience recognized by the Senate.
• International applicant should get a minimum score of 550 for TOEFL or Band 5.5 for IELTS.

Doctor of Philosophy with specialization in  Dietetics

• Master Degree in related field from any institution of higher learning recognized by the Senate; or
• Other qualification; equivalent to the Master Degree and other qualification or experience recognized by the Senate.
• International applicant should get a minimum score of 550 for TOEFL or Band 5.5 for IELTS.

1. Students will be closely supervised by internationally known research faculty members in the folowing
   focussed areas:
   • Musculoskeletal Health
   • Hospital / Institution Food Service
   • Wellness and Sports Nutrition
   • Diet Optimization Modelling
   • Dietary Intervention for Obesity
   • Functional Bowel Disorder
   • Nutritional Status For Specific Groups (Pediatric,Special Needs Children, HIV, Homeless, Athletes/Active Individuals)
   • Geriatric Nutrition
2.  Research grants varies from time to time
3.  Research activities in these areas are currently funded by national agencies such as the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations (MOSTI), Ministry of Health and Ministry of Higher Education as well as industry funds from Petronas, Sime Darby, Nestle, Johnson @ Johnson, Malaysian Palm Oil Council, Kewpie (Japan) Corporation, Abunda Corporation and many more.
