Biasiswa Yang di-Pertuan Agong (BYDPA)

19 Februari 2018: Permohonan penajaan Biasiswa Yang di-Pertuan Agong (BYDPA) Sesi Pengajian 2017/2018 boleh dibuat dengan mengisi borang secara dalam talian (on-line) melalui portal www.jpa.gov.my atau http://esilav2.jpa.gov.my mulai jam 5.00 petang, 08 Februari 2017 (Rabu) sehingga tarikh tutup permohonan on-line dan tarikh akhir penyerahan borang permohonan juga ialah pada 3 Mac 2017 (Jumaat).

Biasiswa Yang di-Pertuan Agong (BYDPA) menawarkan sebanyak 12 biasiswa iaitu enam (6) di peringkat Sarjana dan enam (6) di peringkat Ph.D untuk calon mengikuti pengajian dalam bidang Sains dan Teknologi, Ekonomi, Undang-Undang dan Kewangan Islam. Program ini merupakan satu bentuk pelaburan Pembangunan Modal Insan yang akan menyumbang kepada pembangunan negara.

Keutamaan diberikan kepada calon yang mendapat keputusan akademik yang amat cemerlang iaitu CGPA sekurang-kurangnya 3.75 atau kelas pertama atau setaraf dengannya di peringkat Ijazah Sarjana Muda/ Sarjana. Calon hendaklah mempunyai keupayaan yang luar biasa seperti penguasaan pelbagai bahasa, kebolehan yang istimewa, aktif dalam aktiviti kemasyarakatan atau menghasilkan kerja- 2 kerja kreatif dan inovatif, serta telah mendapat tempat di universiti penyelidikan tempatan atau di universiti terkemuka di dunia. Caloncalon yang layak dan berjaya disenarai pendek akan melalui proses pemilihan termasuk temuduga.

Syarat-syarat kelayakan secara khusus adalah seperti berikut:

i. Warganegara Malaysia;
ii. Berumur tidak melebihi 35 tahun pada tahun memulakan pengajian;
iii. Memiliki Ijazah Sarjana Muda / Sarjana yang diiktiraf oleh Kerajaan dengan pencapaian CGPA minimum 3.75 atau kelas pertama atau setaraf dengannya;
iv. Aktif dalam kegiatan ko-kurikulum atau aktiviti kemasyarakatan atau menghasilkan kerja-kerja kreatif dan inovatif;
v. Mahir dalam lebih daripada satu bahasa antarabangsa; dan
vi. Telah mendapat tempat pengajian di universiti penyelidikan tempatan atau di universiti terkemuka di dunia.

Penerima Biasiswa Yang di-Pertuan Agong adalah terikat untuk berkhidmat di Malaysia untuk tempoh tidak kurang dari lima (5) tahun. Oleh itu, penerima biasiswa yang telah menamatkan pengajian di luar negara diwajibkan pulang ke tanahair selepas tamat tempoh tajaan.
