Ucapan Tahniah Menteri Pendidikan Yang Baharu

22 Mei 2018: Seluruh warga Fakulti Undang-Undang, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia merakamkan ucapan tahniah atas pelantikan Y.B Dr. Maszlee Malik sebagai Menteri Pendidikan yang baharu. Y.B Dr. Maszlee Malik telah mengangkat sumpah jawatan sebagai ahli jemaah menteri pada 21 Mei 2018 di hadapan DYMM Seri Paduka Baginda Yang DiPertuan Agong, Sultan Muhammad ke-V di Istana Negara. Beliau merupakan mantan pensyarah Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia dan Ahli Parlimen Simpang Renggam selepas memenangi PRU 14 yang lalu. Berikut adalah sedutan ucapan Y.B Dr. Maszlee Malik semasa mempengerusikan mesyuarat Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) kali pertama pada 22 Mei 2018:-

“Kita akan gabungkan Sektor Pendidikan Asas dan Pendidikan Tinggi yang sebelum ini ditadbir dalam dua Kementerian menjadi satu.

Dokumen Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia untuk Sektor Pendidikan Asas dan Pendidikan Tinggi akan jadi asas permulaan. Satu penilaian mid term terhadap program dan aktiviti yang telah dilaksanakan melalui Pelan ini.

Kita akan melaksanakan beberapa siri pertemuan dengan guru, pensyarah, murid dan mahasiswa bagi memastikan reaksi dan hasrat mereka terhadap sistem pendidikan negara sepadan dgn apa yg diusahakan oleh Kementerian (KPM).

Saya menyedari amanah yang dipikul ini sudah tentu berat, namun ia adalah tanggungjawab yang wajib dilaksanakan untuk kemajuan anak bangsa Malaysia.”
