Who Should Enroll?
Professionals, managers and executives who wish to enhance their managerial skills that are relevant for career advancements in the public and corporate sectors.
Students’ assessments will be based on the following;
+ Pass Research Methodology course (6 credit) conducted on alternate weekends in the first semester
+ Attend other relevant courses deemed necessary by the Supervisors
+ Successfully pass oral defense (viva voce) for the final thesis
+ Follow the study-plan:
+ The thesis will be evaluated/examined by Internal and External examiners
+ One article accepted for publication in SCOPUS/ISI/ERA indexed jounal OR one in refereed, well-known journal in the subject matter
This course introduces students to a diversity of research techniques and trains them in the research process that involves identifying problems, collecting, analyzing, interpreting and reporting data for the purpose of using opportunities or solving problems in the business environment. Emphasis will be given to descriptive research design (such as survey research) and causal design, measurement and sampling, commonly used data analysis methods, data interpretation, and writing and reporting of research findings. Students are also trained to write a research proposal in planning to undertake the Master’s Project or the thesis component of the Master by Research programme.
Full Time – 18 months
Part time – 30 months
Research methodology classes on alternate weekends (First semester)
Bachelor Degree with an excellent Cumulative Grade Point Average from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia or any institution of higher learning recognized by the Senate
+ CGPA 3.00 and above (without working experience)
+ CGPA 2.75 – 2.99 (with a minimum of two (2) years working experience)
+ CGPA 2.00 – 2.74 (with a minimum of five (5) years working experience)
Applicants whose native language is not English and locals applying for admission who intend to write their thesis / dissertation in English language, should demonstrate good command of English (either TOEFL score of minimum 550 (paper based) / 213 (computer based)79 (internet based), or IELTS band 6.0)
Interview: If does not meet any of the criteria above (at the discretion of the Committee Decision)
