A. How to apply
- Application for study at IMEN can be done online. Online application is available at Graduate admission application system, (please read application guide).
- Application Forms can also be downloaded from www.ukm.my/pps
- Please send the printed application form and the relevant certified documents in duplicate which should include:
- Two (2) copies of application forms completed for all sections, signed and attached with recent passport-sized photographs on each form;
- Two (2) certified true copies of your degree/diploma;
- Two (2) certified true copies of official transcripts;
- Two (2) copies of referee form from two (2) referees;
- Two (2) copies of financial guarantee letters from sponsor or two (2) financial guarantors;
- Two (2) copies of your research proposal for programme by thesis only (1,000 - 1,500 words for Masters, 1,500 - 2,000 words for PhD).
- Two (2) photocopies of your passport (for international applicants only)
- Two (2) postcards with name and self-addressed with postage 50 cents for local;
- Application fee of RM 20 (for Malaysian Applcation), USD 30 for (foreign application) bank draft madepayable to BENDAHARI UKM account number 1218-0005004-05-8 (CIMB bank Bhd), (swift code-BCBMYKL) (Please enclose the copy of the bank slip).
- Completed forms and certified supporting documents are to be submitted to:

B. TOEFL/IELTS Requirement
Candidates intending to write their thesis in English or intend to enrol in graduate programmes conducted in English are required to attain a minimum score of 550 for the TOEFL or a band 5 for the IELTS or attend and pass the English Proficiency Module in UKM as a prerequisite for entry into graduate programs at UKM.
