Master of Chemical Engineering (MEng – Taught Course)

This program consists of core subjects in process design and optimisation, process design using latest computational techniques, advanced thermodynamic, safety and project management. Advances in emerging technologies are offered through elective courses in advanced particle technology, bioprocess, artificial intelligence, advanced process control, process optimization, environmental engineering, engineering economics, and advanced separation technology. Research skills are offered in two project courses. At the end of the program, the students should not only understand, but can apply and develop their own advanced technologies in chemical and biochemical industries as listed above.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)

PEO1: Graduates with morals values and ethical as well as able to fulfil social responsibility in their respective organizations.

PEO2: Graduates with advanced knowledge and competent in the field of chemical engineering.

PEO3: Graduates who can lead and competitive as well as innovative in the chemical ebgineering industry.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)

PLO1: Knowledge – Ability to demonstrate mastery of knowledge in chemical engineering

PLO2: Practical Skills – Ability to apply practical skills and competitive in the specialized field of chemical engineering.

PLO3: Social Skills and Responsibility – Ability to make link ideas and social and environmental issues in chemical engineering

PLO4: Values, Attitudes and Professionalism – Ability to conduct research projects with minimal supervision , adhere to the legal code of practice , ethical and profesional.

PLO5: Communication Skills , Leadership and Teamwork – Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities through communication and efficient teamwork among colleagues and stakeholders .

PLO6: Information Management Skill and Scientific Skill – Ability to provide solutions to problems using scientific and critical thinking skills.

PLO7: Information Management Skills and Lifelong Learning – Ability to manage information for lifelong learning

PLO8: Managerial and Entrepreneurial Skills – Ability to apply engineering knowledge, management principle and entrepreneurship.
