On a Minimization Technique Using Interval Mathematics

ABSTRACT

 

In this paper we adapt to the interval Newton method the transformation-invariant descent-direction strategy which can be used to address the problem of minimizing nearly-singular systems of equations. We show that the modified interval Newton method performed better than the classic interval Newton method.

 

 

ABSTRAK

 

Dalam makalah ini kami sesuaikan kepada kaedah selang Newton strategi penurunan-arah transformasi-tak varian yang boleh digunakan untuk menangani masalah peminimuman suatu sistem persamaan yang hampir singular.  Ditunjukkan bahawa kaedah ubahsuai selang Newton adalah lebih baik daripada kaedah selang Newton klasik.
