Toyota Foundation Research Grant Award, 17 October 2018

KITA Principal Fellow Dr. Eric Olmedo Panal has been selected as recipient of the Toyota Foundation Research Grant for the year 2018 for a proposed project on “The ‘Ulam School’: A Food Education Transborders’ Network to Foster Solidarity and Edible Flora Preservation for Sustainable and Healthy Lifestyle Among Neighboring Countries”. The grant awarded amounted to JPY7,200,000 for two year period (November 2018 – October 2020). The award-giving ceremony was held at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Tokyo, Japan on 17 October 2018.

Toyota Foundation Research Grant Program is highly competitive with hundreds of proposals received each year and its selection rate has remained lower than 5 per cent at least for the previous five years. For further information and full list of grant recipients, kindly click here.
