Media Collection

This collection comprises non-book materials such as dvd, vcd, cd-rom, dvd-rom, video (U-matic, vhs), film strips, audio-cassettes, slide, kits, compact disc, laser disc, film loops, microfiches, microfilms and maps. The collection is a closed access collection, situated at level 2 of the Main Library.

Vision:

• To develop non-book collection in various subjects in supporting the learning, teaching and research activities at University.
• To plan and provide services for users.

Objective:

• To ensure that services can fulfill users need.
• To provide reference service, borrowing and returning at effective manners.

Facilities:

• Theatre room and multipurpose room for 20 – 150 people. Room can be booked during office hour (8.30 am – 4.30 pm).
• Microfilm/microfiche readers and audio visual devices provide users the support in accessing information from microform and audio visual resources.
• Exhibition of new materials.

Services:

1. Borrowing

1. Borrowing out from the library
   • Academician and professional staff are allowed to borrow five (5) items for ten (10) days.
   • Post graduated and under graduated allowed borrowing five (5) items for seven (7) days.
2. Borrowing in the library
   • Users can borrow all items for three (3) hours or depend on duration of video content.

2. Microfilm scanner services

• Users can scan any text or image or any information from microfilm or microfiche. Scanned Information can be printed or downloaded to into pen drive. Download is free.

3. Reader Advisor Service

• Advice and guidance will be given to those who need more information about Media Collection.

4. Microfilm Printing Service

• Theses and Latihan Ilmiah : Not Allowed
• Other Item : No Limited pages (100%)
• Each printing in A4 size cost for 50 cen.
