BANGI, 19 April 2017- Malaysian women should be daring in making changes to better themselves, in line with the International Women’s Day 2017 theme, Be Bold to Change, advised Director of KPJ Healthcare Berhad, Tan Sri Siti Sa’diah Sheikh Bakir, at the Tun Fatimah Hashim Lecture titled Women, Leadership and Sustainability: Increasing Role of The Feminine Force in UKM, recently.

“The ability of women is undeniable, as long as they have the confidence and courage to learn and to correct their own mistakes,” she said.

In addition, she said, the role between men and women (balance work life) should be balanced and maybe reconsidered.

“For example, in our society nowadays, both husband and wife have a career and it is unfair if only the women are left to do house chores while the husband doesn’t do anything.

“Therefore, women should start teaching their children, regardless of gender, about their roles so that they are aware of the responsibility that should be shared,” she said.

She also advised women to overcome any challenges that came into their life as it is an opportunity to develop themselves further.
