New students Advised to Explore Entrepreneurial Skills

BANGI, 5 September 2017- New students are advised to explore their talent in entrepreneurship and not only focused on the subject offered related to their area of study.

The Secretary-General of the Ministry Higher Education, Tan Sri Dr Noorul Ainur Mohd Nur said entrepreneurship is currently one of the agenda focused by the Ministry Of Higher Education (MOHE).

“I hope they (students) will become future entrepreneurs,” she said during the special slot on Entrepreneurship held in conjuction with Minggu Mesra Mahasiswa, organized by UKM-CESMED and Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC), recently.

She said MOHE believes that in these times students need to think of what job creators want and need.

The event was also attended by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC) of Industry and Community Partnerships; Prof Dato’ Dr Imran Ho Abdullah, DVC of Students and Alumni Affairs; Prof Dato Noor Aziah Mohd Awal, Chief Executive Officer of Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC),  Ashran Dato’ Ghazi and Director of UKM-CESMED, Prof Datin Dr Shamshubaridah Ramlee.
