Spouses of Foreign Country Leaders Visited PERMATApintar

BANGI, 25 September 2016 – The spouses of Nauru, Palestine and Lesotho leaders visited the PERMATApintar National Gifted Centre UKM, in conjunction with the International Conference on Asean Blue Strategy 2016, recently.

UKM Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic and International Affairs, Prof Dato’ Ir Dr Riza Atiq Abdullah OK Rahmat said, the visit is an opportunity for PERMATApintar UKM to carry out cooperation with the foreign countries in educating students who are gifted and talented.

“UKM had the opportunity to be hosts to students from Kazakhstan, South Africa, Mozambique, Singapore, Brunei, India and Mexico in a summer camp which was held at PERMATApintar UKM.

“The summer camp gives them insights on Malaysian cultural heritage which include the arts, gastronomic experience and historical visits which aims to teach them to appreciate cultural diversity,” he said.

Also present at the programme was Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun, it’s Secretary General, Dr Rose Lena Lazemi and PERMATAPintar UKM Director, Prof. Datuk Dr. Noriah Mohd Ishak.ukmnewsportal-eg
