Stay Active to be Healthy- Dato’ Wira Othman Aziz

BANGI, 2 May 2017 – Society, especially the youth, are encouraged to participate more actively in sports in order to create a society that has a healthy, active and intelligent body and mind.

Deputy Minister of Finance I, Dato’ Wira Othman Aziz said the government is encouraging people to participate more actively in sports, to produce healthy, fit and active youth, who will be able to contribute to the development of the country.

“The government initiated various efforts in promoting people’s participation in sports and one of it is the tax relief of RM2,500 for Malaysians,” he said in his speech at the Closing Ceremony of Campus to Explore (C2X) at Keris Mas Residential College (KKM), recently.

He hopes that C2X programme will be the trademark for KKM and thus developed into a major tournament at UKM level.

C2X is a programme organized by KKM Sports and Recreation Secretariat.

Also present at the programme were Deputy Director of Alumni Relations, the Centre for Student Development and Alumni Relations, Ir Dr Nazrul Anuar Nayan and the Principal of KKM, Assoc Prof Datuk Dr Muhammad Hussin.
