Support from Young Lecturers Important for University’s Excellence

BANGI, 16 August 2017- Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) requires support from its young lecturers to continue achieving excellence, said UKM Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research & Innovation Affairs, Prof Dr Mohd Ekhwan Toriman.

“We especially need support from all young lecturers to help the university enhance our research and development (R&D) initiatives,” he said during Bicara Penyelidikan 4.0, recently.

He said their contribution was needed to increase UKM’s academic performance and he suggested for lecturers to publish more high quality journal articles.

He also hopes that young lecturers will continue to work in line with the R&D agenda in UKM to maintain its achievement as one of the best research university.

“I hope they can continue university agenda to maintain university performance in the Malaysian Research Assessment (MyRA),” he said.
