UKM Appreciates Sacrifices of National Heroes

BANGI, 24 August 2016 – The National University of Malaysia (UKM) appreciates the sacrifices of national heroes who fought for Malaysia, said Vice Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Noor Azlan Ghazali.

He said the heroes were willing to risk their lives because they wanted Malaysia to be independent and that everyone should emulate these sacrifice for the betterment and development of Malaysia.

 “Let us take a moment to express our sense of gratitude for their dedication and hard work in helping Malaysia gain its independence,” he said at the Launch of UKM’s Independence Day celebration, recently.

He added that the date of the establishment of UKM may not be on 31st August, but the establishment of this University is also part of the Nation’s aspiration.

“Establishing a great university calls for cooperation from each and every one in UKM, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Deans and lecturers,” he said.

Also present at UKM’s 59th Independence Day celebration at were Deputy Vice-Chancellors, senior management officers and UKM staff.ukmnewsportal-eg
