UKM to Organise Lion Dance Competition

BANGI, 31 January 2017 – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), through the Pesta Ang Pow Secretariat, will organise a Lion Dance Competition on Feb 24 at Panggung Seni, UKM.

In conjunction with the competition, a camp, which will expose participants basics as well as the lion dance techniques and culture, will be held from Feb 14 until Feb 17 at the Gui Qing Art Association, Negeri Sembilan.

To date, seven teams have registered to participate in the competition.

In addition, a Chinese New Year Dinner with the theme ‘Cultural Heritage’, will be held on March 5 at theTun Abdul Razak Chancellor Hall.

It will be held in the Chinese concept of the grand meal, similar to the dinner Chinese have the night before the Lunar New Year.

The ticket will be sold at a price RM50 per person and RM488 for one table (10 person).

For the university students, the ticket is priced atRM40 per person and RM388 for one table.
