Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), through College Buhanuddin Helmi (KBH), signed an MoA with the Malaysian National Patriot Foundation (YPNM), to carry out activities among undergraduates that will benefit both parties.

UKM was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof Datuk Noor Aziah Mohd Awal while YPNM by its Chairman, Brigadier General (Rtd) Datuk Husainy Hashim.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by KBH Principal, Dr Muhammad Rahimi Yusof and YPNM Creative Director, Mohd Rizal Abbas.

Prof Datuk Noor Aziah, in her speech, said, the cooperation is an initiative which is in line with the Higher Education Ministry’s intention to improve the index of patriotism among students.

The partnership will see UKM offering a Citra-Patriot course.

“The course is one of a kind because YPNM will provide a platform for students to organize patriotic activities and enable them to express their love for the country.

“I believe that this approach will not only provide a good exposure to our undergraduates, it will also ensure that the spirit of patriotism be inculcated among all in UKM,” she said.
