BANGI, 9 Nov 2015 – Students who managed the 43rd UKM Convocation Fair, from October 29 until November 3rd 2015, should use the experience to face an ever increasingly challenging world.

Vice Chancellor, Prof Datuk Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali said the fair also strengthened the relationship between the external participants with the campus community, especially the undergraduates who were directly involved in organising the fair.

“The ability to hold joint ventures with outside organisations in coordinating this fair is not something easy.

“I hope this cooperation can produce individuals who are competent, competitive and able to expand the field of organisational communications within students,” he said while closing the 43rd UKM Convocation Fair, here, on 3rd November.

He said the relationship with society is invaluable in order to develop the country in keeping  with the role of UKM as the guardian of the nation.

“I am proud that this fair was fully organised by students. The fair proves that the organisation Secretariat of the Convocation Fair is dynamic and highly ambitious to succeed in a big programme like this,” he said.

Prof Noor Azlan said participation in such programmes has proven that UKM students are able to multi-task.

“Student excellence is not only evaluated by excellence in academics, but also excelling in more challenging tasks, such as managing big events.

“The university provided everything for students looking for ways to achieve  success. It’s up to you all to take the experience and skills to sharpen your competitiveness,” he added.

He also expressed feelings of pride for the UKM students and their Esprit De Corp.

At the ceremony, Prof Noor Azlan also presented prizes to the winners for the various competitions held in conjunction with Convocation.ukmnewsportal-eg
