Vice Chancellor Introduced Tekad 18 to Ensure ‘UKM Won’

BANGI, 5 April 2018 – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Vice Chancellor, Prof Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali introduced 18 Tekad as a mandate to all UKM staff and students for progress and common development.

In his lecture at the Ceremony of Vice Chancellor Lecture recently, he said 18 Tekad framed through six Key Result Area (KRA) to ensure UKM is won.

“We are a great university. We have no choice beside to win. We are great with our philosophers… we are great with our students.

“We must make sure our graduates are graduates who are searched and awaited by employees. It means that we are won in produce the great graduates.  To what extent are we, how far we are, how far we won, don’t forget our trust because UKM is a Guardian of the Nation,” he said.

He said it was impossible for UKM to succeed if the people (students and staff) were not together.

“The faculties, institutes, PTjs (Pusat Tanggungjawab) need together and should be ready to challenge the norms. If we are not ready to challenge the norms, we need to erase the UKM motto, vision and mission.

“Alhamdulillah, 48 years’ establishment of UKM, we always challenge the norms and encourages us to become a great university,” he added.

The Tekad 18 has outlined three components in each university’s KRA.
