UKM Startup Company To Collaborate With Medical Equipment Company

BANGI, 28 Oct. 2011 – A UKM Start-up company, Compleo Technology Sdn Bhd has notched another milestone when it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Neopharma Biotech Diagnostic Sdn Bhd (NBA) to develop and market new products in the field of medical consumables and medical equipment.
It will also collaborate with NBA to market its BRIM Immobilizer, a pelvic binder for traumatic cases. They will also cooperate and assist each other in business development including the setting up of manufacturing facilities for their products.
NBA is the sole distributor for In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) products, licensed under the brand name "Sensatest" and "Neotest" in Asia, the Middle East and parts of Africa. The two products are used to test cardiac marker, fertility, hepatitis, sexual transmitted diseases and others.
The Mou also provides for them to jointly work with third parties to develop business proposals for their mutual benefit.
It was signed by Abdul Rahman Hisham, Compleo Tech CEO and Dato’ Dr. Amir Abbas, Chairman of NBA. Deputy Vice Chancellor (Innovation and Research) Prof Dr Rahmah Mohamed witnessed the occasion.
