The Centre for Engineering Education Research was established in Mac 2009 in continuation of Engineering Education Research Group (EERG) formed in January 2003. This centre conducts research on engineering and built environment education which includes: curriculum design; students and faculty development; community and industries involvements and linkages in engineering and built environment education; innovative and creative, student-centred teaching and learning (T&L) methods; and assessment and evaluation. In addition, the research centre focuses on continuous quality improvement in T & L engineering and built environment and accreditation of engineering and architecture programs.
Currently, the Centre for Engineering Education Research is offering two programs at post-graduate level. The modes of the programs are by thesis only. The programs are:
I. Master of Science (Engineering Education)
II. Doctor of Philosophy (Engineering Education)
The fellow researchers of this research centre consist of academicians from various educational and expertise backgrounds which includes academic staffs from the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment and Faculty of Education.
