Workshop to develop Advocacy Videos for Public Awareness Campaign on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)

One of the research teams which won the 2019 Women’s Leadership Grant from Tun Fatimah Hashim Women’s Leadership Centre (TFHWLC) held a-one-day-workshop at TFHWLC to summarise and develop an advocacy video on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). Lead researcher, Professor Dr. Dayang Anita Abdul Aziz, who is also Director of TFHWLC chaired the workshop which was attended by all co-researchers. The project is entitled: Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Parents and Professionals on the Health Impact of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) (PKW-2019-003). The development of advocacy videos on awareness of the health impact of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) practices will be shared with major stakeholders such as the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) for public awareness campaign.
