UKM Tour for new postgraduate student.
Welcome to UKM!
It is a great pleasure to welcome you to our UKM campus.
As you may well have noticed, we have aligned a host of activities to help you familiarise yourselves with UKM and the various services that we offer to help you with your study at UKM.
We highly recommend all new postgraduate students to take the opportunity to get to know our campus by taking part in the special welcome activities that have been arranged especially for you by the various faculties, institutes and service centres of the university. The activities are in the form of visits, talks, poetry, forums, lab visits, guided tours as well as dental screening. You may choose up to three activities from the list provided and you are encouraged to choose activities that are out of your own study area. This will allow you to explore other faculties and institutes within UKM and therefore, getting to know more about UKM. We certainly hope the activities will let you explore our large campus, get to know key people whilst building your own network with your peers in our postgraduate community. To top it all off, I would also like to invite you to an event that we host every semester for our newly enrolled postgraduate students. It is called “Hari Informasi Pascasiswazah (HIP)” or Postgraduate Information Day. The event provides an opportunity to meet up with the top management of UKM, as well as all Deans of Faculties and Directors of Research Institutes at UKM. There will be sessions for you to hear on how we can support you with training and development opportunities, as well as the various support services available for you at UKM during the course of your study here. This event will take place on 22nd February 2017 at DECTAR. Please do not miss it and we hope you can register for the event either at our registration counter or via our Facebook and website links.
