ABSTRACT

Kindly submit one-page abstract, printed on an A4 size paper with single spacing using Microsoft 2007 Times New Roman 12, of your proposed presentation to the Secretariat, no later than 22nd July 2013. The abstract should not exceed 250 words.


PRESENTATION

20 minutes presentation including Q&A.


INSTRUCTION TO AUTHORS FOR FULL PAPER SUBMISSION


Manuscript

Papers should only be written either in Malay or English. Manuscripts should be submitted by email.

Length

Manuscripts of full papers should not exceed 10 pages inclusive of tables, figures and references and should be typed single-spaced with font size 12 points, Times New Roman, using Microsoft Word format. The manuscripts should be arranged in the following order: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Main Text, Acknowledgement and References.

Title

A concise and informative full title including name (s), affiliation (s) and address (es) of the authors should be given.

Abstract

The abstract should not exceed 250 words. The abstract should include the purpose of the study, main findings and principal conclusions.

Keywords

A maximum of five keywords must be provided (in alphabetical order).

References

Reference should be in alphabetical order. References to journal should be listed as follows: author‘s surnames and initials, years of publication in parenthesis, title of paper, title of journal in italics, volume number in bold print, initial and final page number of the article.

For example:
Musa Ahmad & Ramaier Narayanaswamy. (1996). Sungai dan pantai kuno di kompleks Delta Kelantan. Sains Malaysiana 25(3): 77-90.

References to Books
Hairudin Harun. (2006) Kosmologi Melayu Dalam Era Teknologi Maklumat. Kuala Lumpur: Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka.

Chapter in a Book
Nor Aini Hj Idris. (1997). Tenaga buruh wanita. Dlm. Supian Ali, Rahmah Ismail dan Muhammad Anuar Adnan. Pembangunan Sumber Manusia di Malaysia. Bangi: Penerbit UKM.

Tables
Tables should be numbered according to their order of appearance in the text.

Figures
Drawing and photographs should be supplied in a format not smaller than the actual size and not larger than about twice this size. Good black and white, high contrast copies of drawings or glossy prints of photographs should be submitted.

Abstract Submission

Abstracts must be submitted via email (salam3ukm@gmail.com) in Word doc. Submissions can be a joint abstract of authors. Electronic submissions should have the abstract as an attachment and the subject header ''salam 3” and send to  salam3ukm@gmail.com
