SENSITIVITY EXPERIMENTS

The use of RegCM4 requires many physics schemes and parameterizations. The choices may be dependant on the domain and resolution. In SEACLID/CORDEX-SEA, sensitivity experiments were carried out to determine the best physics options for Cumulus Parameterization and Ocean Fluxes. Details of the experiments can be found here. The RegCM4 model was forced with NCEP ERAint reanalysis data for a twenty-year simulation period. Simulated values of various output variables were compared with observed values. The model runs and analysis involved were conducted on task-sharing basis among the countries. Preliminary results of the experiments were presented in the first workshop in Jakarta. The complete results of the experiments will be presented at the second workshop in Bangkok where a decision on best physics options, domain and resolution will be made.
