The Global Platform for Disaster Reduction was established in 2007 as a biennial forum for information exchange, discussion of latest development and knowledge and partnership building across sectors, with the goal to improve implementation of disaster risk reduction through better communication and coordination amongst stakeholders. The purpose of the workshop is to solicit inputs on adaptation programmes to be proposed to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Malaysia. The proposed adaptation programmes will be part of the outcomes from the study on ‘Development of Adaptation Roadmap for Malaysia, 2020 and beyond’.
