MASTER OF SOCIAL SCIENCES (M.Soc.Sc.) IN EAST ASIAN STUDIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Connecting Northeast and Southeast Asia<\/em><\/p>\n

The National University of Malaysia\u2019s Master\u2019s Degree in East Asian Studies is a new programme offered by the Department of Strategic Studies and International Relations. It is\u00a0one of the very few Master\u2019s programmes in UKM that is fully conducted in English.<\/p>\n

This Master\u2019s programme aims to provide an in-depth study of Northeast Asian and Southeast Asian countries. Students will explore the dynamics of the East Asian region through individual country case studies and also from an institutional perspective, specifically focusing on ASEAN as the driving force of regional integration.<\/p>\n

This programme is designed for students preparing to go on to doctoral level research in some aspect of East Asian Studies, political science or international relations. It also serves the needs of students who are interested in a professional career in public service, government and politics, diplomacy, finance, military service, journalism and media, or business. Regardless of destination, this\u00a0programme affords all students an opportunity to pursue flexible, varied, and career-oriented course of instruction.<\/p>\n
