Welcome to AIMEC 2027
On behalf of the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, it is my privilege to welcome you to the 3rd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Medical Education (AIMEC 2027), to be held from 16-18 April 2027 at the Preclinical Building, Faculty of Medicine, UKM, Kuala Lumpur.
Artificial intelligence is no longer a distant possibility for medical education. It is already reshaping how we teach, assess, and prepare the next generation of clinicians. With this year’s theme, “Humanising AI: Building Trustworthy Medical Education for Tomorrow,” AIMEC 2027 invites educators, researchers, clinicians, and technologists from around the world to move beyond the novelty of AI tools and confront the questions that matter most: how do we build AI systems that are trustworthy, equitable, and genuinely serve the humanistic core of medicine?
Since its inception, AIMEC has grown into a platform where bold ideas meet rigorous scholarship. This third edition continues that tradition, bringing together voices from across disciplines to explore how thoughtful, ethically grounded innovation can strengthen, rather than replace, the human relationships at the heart of medical training and patient care.
