Dr Arkendu Sen is Associate Professor in Clinical Anatomy at Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia, an anatomist/ophthalmologist by training. Dr Sen is also a keen educationist and champion of education innovation and excellence. Previously as Academic Director, he was leading the Campus Education Excellence portfolio of Monash University Malaysia. As Fellow of the Monash Education Academy, he is keen to promote the Impact Education agenda. He has wide teaching experience in medical schools in Malaysia, India and Papua New Guinea. Being a top student (First Rank in MD), he has striven to inspire and motivate future health professionals, consistently scoring around 90% for student evaluations and attained outstanding Monash University Student evaluation scores (averaging 4.8/5) for teaching in various modes including lecturing, practical class teaching, tutoring, problem based learning and clinical skills. Having undergone various training in IT-based applications, he has innovatively integrated anatomy, IT resources, virtual learning environments with teaching/learning spaces (smart e–classrooms). This successful innovation and enthusiasm was duly recognized by School of Medicine’s IT representative. He now leads as Chair of the Campus ITS committee and is a member of the ITS governance forum overlooking the three worldwide Monash campus.
