Dr Noorjahan is an Associate Professor and Consultant Anaesthesiologist at her alma mater, Universiti Malaya and the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre. Her clinical area of interest is cardiothoracic anaesthesiology, perioperative outcomes and haemodynamic monitoring. Outside of clinical anaesthesiology, her area of interest includes anaesthesiology education, simulation in healthcare and faculty development. Due to her interests, she chaired the National Postgraduate Medical Curriculum project for Anaesthesiology and is an active trainer and examiner for the National Anaesthesiology programme. She heads the Universiti Malaya Faculty of Medicine Clinical Skills Unit and is actively involved in faculty development initiatives. Nationally, she is the Secretary of the Malaysian Association of Education in Medical and Health Sciences, an interdisciplinary association of healthcare educators, and a founding member of the Malaysian Society for Simulation in Healthcare and an Executive Committee member and Simulation Interest Group convenor of the College of Anaesthesiologists, Academy of Medicine Malaysia.
