The department also has its own tissue culture laboratory (Laboratory 4) located at Level 9, Pre-Clinical Building. The tissue culture lab is used by researchers and students who are involved in cell and tissue culture research.

This lab is equipped with:

• Biosafety Cabinet
• CO2 Incubator
• Centrifuge machine
• Inverted microscope
• Shaking water bath

These equipment are placed in a dedicated room so that all research activities are sterile and to prevent contamination of the cultured cells or tissues.

The lab is also equipped with:

• Ultrapure water machine
• -80˚C Eppendorf refrigerator
• Panasonic -30˚C refrigerator
• Normal refrigerator
• Analytical scales
• PH meter gauge
