{"id":18,"date":"2019-10-11T02:50:30","date_gmt":"2019-10-11T02:50:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ukm.my\/aoswa\/?page_id=18"},"modified":"2019-11-13T16:55:00","modified_gmt":"2019-11-13T08:55:00","slug":"introduction","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ukm.my\/aoswa\/introduction\/","title":{"rendered":"Introduction"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The organization of AOSWA (Asia Oceania Space Weather Alliance) was established in 2010 for a regional exchange of information of space weather for <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">operation<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">research<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Asia and Oceania regions. Until now, 35 associates from 15 countries have joined AOSWA. The first AOSWA workshop was held in Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2012, to promote research works, operational collaboration, and data exchange, for the development of space weather activities in Asia and Oceania regions. Since then, the AOSWA workshop had been organized annually or biennially in different <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">countries<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The past host countries of the AOSWA workshop were China, Japan, South Korea, and Indonesia.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The last fifth AOSWA workshop <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with a theme entitled \u201cTo meet, to connect and to foster for better living in space\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was held in 2018 in Bandung, Indonesia, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">where more than 100 participants attended.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the year 2020, the sixth AOSWA workshop will be hosted in Selangor, Malaysia<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by the Space Science Centre, Institute of Climate Change<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).<\/span><\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The organization of AOSWA (Asia Oceania Space Weather Alliance) was established in 2010 for a regional exchange of information of space weather for operation and research in Asia and Oceania regions.
