data-end=\"2429\">The Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia is pleased to introduce a new research facility featuring the <strong data-start=\"2271\" data-end=\"2302\">Agilent Seahorse XF HS Mini<\/strong>, an advanced instrument designed to analyse mitochondrial function and cellular metabolism in real time with high sensitivity.<\/p><p data-start=\"2431\" data-end=\"2826\">This system enables researchers to perform detailed bioenergetic analysis by simultaneously measuring the <strong data-start=\"2537\" data-end=\"2570\">oxygen consumption rate (OCR)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2575\" data-end=\"2618\">extracellular acidification rate (ECAR)<\/strong> in live cells. Such capability provides valuable insights into cellular metabolic processes across various research areas including cancer metabolism, immune cell metabolism, and general cellular physiology.<\/p><p data-start=\"2828\" data-end=\"3058\">Key advantages of the instrument include high sensitivity for small sample volumes, label-free real-time detection in live cells, and integrated data analysis software that facilitates efficient data processing and interpretation.<\/p><p data-start=\"3060\" data-end=\"3444\">The analyser supports a wide range of metabolic assays including the <strong data-start=\"3129\" data-end=\"3157\">Real-Time ATP Rate Assay<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"3159\" data-end=\"3184\">Cell Mito Stress Test<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"3186\" data-end=\"3204\">Mito Tox Assay<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"3206\" data-end=\"3236\">T Cell Metabolic Profiling<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"3242\" data-end=\"3267\">Glycolytic Rate Assay<\/strong>. These assays allow researchers to investigate cellular energy production, mitochondrial respiration, mitochondrial toxicity, and glycolytic activity in a comprehensive manner.<\/p><p data-start=\"3446\" data-end=\"3802\">This facility is expected to strengthen the research capabilities of the Department of Biochemistry and support various biomedical research projects.
