The automotive landscape is undergoing a radical transformation, driven by the dual pressures of production scalability and aggressive cost competitiveness. As global regulations tighten and the shift away from petroleum-based fuels accelerates, the industry is pivoting toward high-potential alternatives like hydrogen, fuel cell technology, and biogas.
Far from making traditional powerplants obsolete, these challenges render Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) research more critical than ever. Our mission is to bridge the gap between legacy systems and next-generation propulsion through a multidisciplinary approach. By leveraging a robust network of international academic and industrial partners, we focus on:
- Engine Design & Optimization: Reimagining architecture for the modern era.
- Experimental Testing: Utilizing our state-of-the-art Dynamometer Engine Test Bed at the Centre for Automotive Research (CAR) lab.
- Alternative Fuel Integration: Validating the viability of carbon-neutral combustibles.
