Technical Training on CLASS 2013 Classification Record Preparation: LOTTE Chemicals Titan, Pasir Gudang | 8–9 October 2025
CMRG UKM recently conducted a two-day technical training session at LOTTE Chemicals Titan’s Pasir Gudang facility, focusing on the preparation of chemical classification records in compliance with the CLASS 2013 Regulations. The training, held on 8–9 October 2025, was attended by 20 dedicated participants from the facility.
Led by Prof. ChM. Dr. Goh Choo Ta and Mr. Mahathir Amir, the program introduced key regulatory frameworks including the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), chemical classification principles, CLASS 2013, and ICOP 2014. Participants were guided through the step-by-step process of preparing classification records aligned with regulatory requirements.
This session marks the continuation of a strong collaborative relationship between CMRG UKM and LOTTE Chemicals Titan, following the inaugural training held in 2024 which engaged over 40 participants. As a next step, participants will be trained in the use of the CATCH system to streamline and enhance the classification record preparation process.
