Another year has passed and it\u2019s time for the event of the year! On the18th of September 2012, an oath taking ceremony was held at TIBE hall to welcome the 2012\/2013 academic year newcomers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\u00a0The event was organized by PMFFAR and all students, ranging from 1st<\/sup> year to 4th<\/sup> year, lecturers as well as the staffs from the Faculty of Pharmacy were invited to attend the meaningful ceremony. By 8.30am, all students, lecturers and staffs have arrived and taken their respective seats while waiting for the event to begin. At 9am, the Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, , Prof. Dr. Ibrahim bin Jantan and the guests of honour arrived. \"4\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The event started off with the national anthem and the university song followed by the opening ceremony and a speech by our Dean. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim congratulated the new students on their admission into the Faculty of Pharmacy in UKM. Besides, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim also noted that the selection was strict this year and that the new students should be grateful to be able to be here today. Dean hoped that the newcomers will be able to bring honor to UKM by becoming successful pharmacists in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>The oath taking ceremony was then led by Ahmad Hanafi bin Azman. This event \u00a0<\/span>was held to make sure that the students could remember the promises they made to themselves, lecturers and families. The newcomers pledged whole-heartedly as the lecturers, staff and their seniors watched upon. \"10\"<\/a> \"14\"<\/a>

At the end of the event, Prof. Ibrahim presented an enlarged recognizing letter to the 1st<\/sup> year class representative, Hiap Wei Poh. It symbolized the responsibilities and promises the newcomers must hold onto in order to be outstanding and successful pharmacists in the future. The newcomers were also dished with a multimedia slideshow on the various activities held by PMFFAR throughout the year 2011\/2012. This event was indeed a meaningful yet interesting for every new pharmacy students as it was a starting point for them to begin their lives as an important contributor to the society in terms of healthcare . Break a leg!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
