{"id":2637,"date":"2019-01-04T02:33:32","date_gmt":"2019-01-04T02:33:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ukm.my\/farmasi\/?p=2637"},"modified":"2019-01-04T02:38:25","modified_gmt":"2019-01-04T02:38:25","slug":"peluang-msc-phd-dalam-penyelidikan-produk-semulajadi-2-projek","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ukm.my\/farmasi\/peluang-msc-phd-dalam-penyelidikan-produk-semulajadi-2-projek\/","title":{"rendered":"Peluang Msc \/ PhD dalam penyelidikan Produk Semulajadi (2 projek)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Candidates who possess the following criteria are invited to apply as a full-time MSc\/PhD (research mode) student in Faculty of Pharmacy, UKM:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Bachelor Degree with Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) \u2265 3.20\/ 4.0 or equivalent in Science or health-related field (e.g. chemistry\/pharmacy\/ biomedicine) OR Master\u2019s degree in similar field.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Able to conduct a research project involving cell culture techniques (anti allergic assay using RBL-2H3 \/anti-inflammatory assay using U937), isolation (using column chromatography, hplc etc) and identification of bioactive compounds (nmr, ms, uv and ir).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Excellent proficiency in English and Malay language (written and spoken).<\/li>\n<li>Able to work independently with minimal supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Right sense of urgency, hardworking, pro-active, and willing to learn new skills\/things.<\/li>\n<li>Open for both Malaysian (self sponsored) and international applications (those with scholarships only).<\/li>\n<li>Duration of project-2-3 year.<\/li>\n<li><strong> Project entitled: <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u201cMechanistic studies on anti-allergic of standardized extract of \u201cPhyllanthus amarus and Phyllantus niruri\u201d.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Inhibitory effects of a novel \u03b1,\u03b2-unsaturated carbonyl-based compound on NF-kB, MAPK and PI3K-Akt signaling pathways in U937 macrophages, histamine and \u03b2-hexosaminidase release in RBL-2H3 cells.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>How to Apply<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested candidates, please send your CVs and academic transcript to Assoc.
