Vacancy for PhD (local candidates only)\u2013 in Natural Products Research<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Candidates who possess the following criteria are invited to apply as a full-time PhD (research mode) student in Faculty of Pharmacy, UKM:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Bachelor Degree with Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) \u2265 40\/ 4.0 or equivalent in Science or health-related field (e.g. chemistry\/pharmacy\/ biomedicine)\u00a0 OR Master\u2019s degree in similar field.<\/li>\n
  2. Able to conduct a research project involving cell culture techniques (anti allergic assay), isolation (using column chromatography, hplc, pre-hplc, etc) and identification of bioactive compounds (nmr, ms, uv and ir).<\/li>\n
  3. Excellent proficiency in English and Malay language (written and spoken).<\/li>\n
  4. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.<\/li>\n
  5. Right sense of urgency, hardworking, pro-active, and willing to learn new skills\/things.<\/li>\n
  6. Open for Malaysian applications only.<\/li>\n
  7. Duration of project-2-3 year.<\/li>\n
  8. Project entitled \u201cMechanistic studies on anti-allergic activity of Anaxagorea javanica<\/em> Blume extracts and their isolated compounds\u201d.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
