Research and Innovation Secretariat Bulletin 2024

This bulletin documents all research activities carried out by members of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEP) throughout 2024. A variety of workshops and seminars were organized during the year, including the Research Ethics Briefing, Intellectual Property Guidance and Commercialization Briefing, AI-Assisted Research Workshop, Malay-Language Book Writing Workshop, SLR Writing Workshop, Qualitative Research Course, and the STATA for Research and Publication Workshop.

In addition, three major conferences were held: SAFAG 2024 Conference, the 11th IMAC Conference, and the 26th MFAIC Conference in conjunction with ICGloBDE 2024. A knowledge-sharing session by our Professor of Practice, Datuk Dr. Kamarudin bin Min, was also conducted as part of efforts to strengthen the university’s research development. Sharing sessions on international grants and industry grants were also conducted to provide practical guidance and to enhance participants’ capability and confidence in applying for research funding.

To further strengthen the capacity of researchers and postgraduate students in producing world-class research, programs involving three visiting professors were arranged. Key components of these programs included individual article review sessions with members from research centers, article improvement workshops, and faculty-level knowledge-sharing sessions.
