Biografi:
Profesor Madya Dr Mariani Abdul Majid adalah professor madya di Pusat Pembangunan Inklusif dan Mampan, Fakulti Ekonomi dan Pengurusan, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Beliau menerima kedua-dua ijazah sarjana muda ekonomi dan sarjana ekonomi dari Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia, dan PhD dari Aston University, United Kingdom. Beliau mempunyai pengalaman penyelidikan dan pengajaran dalam perbankan dan kewangan Islam, ekonomi kewangan, dan mikroekonomi. Penerbitan kertas beliau terdapat di jurnal-jurnal akademik yang berwasit seperti Journal of Productivity Analysis, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Applied Economics, dan Services Industries Journal. Beliau juga mempunyai kertas yang diterbitkan sebagai bab di dalam buku. Profesor Madya Dr Mariani adalah ketua editor Jurnal Ekonomi Malaysia (JEM) yand berindeks SCOPUS dan ahli lembaga penasihat editor International Journal of Islamic and Middle Eastern Finance and Management (IMEFM) yang berindeks WOS. Beliau telah menyelia beberapa tesis kedoktoran di Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia dan menjadi pemeriksa luar bagi beberapa disertasi.Profesor Madya Dr Mariani telah menilai dokumen kenaikan pangkat ahli fakulti dan kurikulum universiti lain.
