Introduction
The establishment of this research centre is based on realignment of the organizational structure in the Faculty of Education. It aims to develop research niches in the faculty. However, in line with the research direction at the University level, the Teaching and Learning Innovation Center was rebranded to the Teaching and Learning Innovation Research Centre on 1 December 2019. In general, this centre contains five research niches based on the expertise of members, namely Quality Education; Educational Technology; Societal-well Being Education; Futuristic Learning and Immersive Learning.

Objectives
The role of the Learning and Teaching Innovation Research Centre is to produce:
- Research -based learning and teaching innovation to ensure the quality of lifelong human capital development.
- Reflective, critical and innovative academic professionals who are at the forefront of the globalization era.
- Academic professionals who specialize as agents in the transformation of quality education in line with national education policy.
