The Master in Management (MIM) Programme is designed to provide in-depth training for individuals seeking to enhance and deepen their competencies in specific areas such as management, marketing, finance, and islamic finance. The programme can be completed in 1 ½ year for full-time students or 2 ½ years for part-time students.

Business Research Methods

This course introduces students to a diversity of research techniques and trains them in the research process that involves identifying problems and the collecting, analyzing, interpreting and reporting of data for the purpose of using opportunities, or solving problems in the business environment. Emphasis will be given to descriptive research design (such as survey research) and causal design, measurement and sampling, commonly used data analysis methods, data interpretation, and writing and reporting of research findings. Students are also trained to write a research proposal in planning to undertake the Master’s Project or the thesis component of the Master by Research programme.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Masters in Management (MIM):
Bachelor Degree in business/management related areas with outstanding CGPA

  • 3.00 and above (without work experience)
  • 2.75 – 2.99 (with a minimum of 2 years work experience)
  • 2.00 – 2.74 (with a minimum of 5 years work experience)

International Applicants
Applicants whose native language is not English should demonstrate good command of English – either IELTS band 6.0 or TOEFL score of minimum 550 (paper based) / 213 (computer based) / 79 (internet based);

Interview
Applicants who do not meet the above requirements may be called for an interview to assess their complementary competencies and merits
