Submission Guidelines

Abstract Guidelines

  1. We welcome abstract on topics of health-related research below
    1. Integrative Toxicology for Human & Planetary Health
    2. Digital Innovations in Rehabilitation & Health Sciences
    3. Innovative Diagnostic, Therapeutic and Investigative
    4. Advancing Community Health through Research, Innovation and Partnerships
    5. Translating Ageing Research for Longevity
  2. Choose the category that BEST fits your abstract’s content. This helps with reviewing and indexing.
  3. Submit your abstract electronically through the submission platform ONLY.
  4. Presenters may submit more than one abstract. Additional RM50 will be imposed on each extra abstract. However,  only one presentation will be judged for an award. 
  5. Ensure your abstract is free from spelling, grammar errors, and scientific inaccuracies before submission. No amendments will be allowed after submission.
  6. Do not include tables, graphics or references in the abstract. Use abbreviations sparingly.
  7. If your abstract is accepted, at least one author MUST register for the conference. The registration fee must be paid by 15th May 2026.
  8. All accepted abstracts will be published as submitted in a special issue of the Medicine & Health (E-ISSN 2289-5728) a WoS (ESCI) Q4 Journal. Selected abstracts will be invited for full paper publication in the IIUM Medical Journal Malaysia (IMJM), a WoS (ESCI) Q4 and Scopus-indexed journal.
  9. The iSIHAT 2026 Scientific Committee reserves the right to disqualify abstracts that do not meet submission requirements.
  10. Encore abstracts (revised versions of previously submitted abstracts or presented elsewhere- even if the list of authors has been changed) will NOT be accepted.

Consent, Permission & Copyright

  1. By submitting the abstract, the author accepts full responsibility for its accuracy and acknowledges that no amendments can be made after submission. The abstract will be published exactly as submitted.
  2. All co-authors have been informed of the abstract’s content and have given their consent prior to submission. The submitter also agrees to act as the primary contact for all correspondence regarding the abstract and will ensure all co-authors are kept updated on its status.
  3. Submission implies the author’s consent for the abstract to be published in the Medicine & Health.
  4. It is the submitter’s responsibility to secure approval from relevant regulatory authorities and obtain any necessary consents.
  5. The submitter must ensure that the work is original and does not violate any copyrights, proprietary rights, or personal rights of any third party.
  6. Any potential conflicts of interest, such as financial stakes in products or processes mentioned, stock ownership, or advisory board memberships, must be disclosed and resolved by the submitter.
  7. By completing the online Registration and Abstract Submission form, the submitter agrees to all terms and conditions regarding conference registration and abstract submission as outlined on the official conference website.

Abstract Format

General

  • Abstracts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
  • All submissions should be written in British English.
  • The abstract should not exceed 300 words.
  • Use Arial as the font type.
  • When using abbreviations or acronyms, spell out the full term upon first mention, unless it represents a standard unit of measurement or is commonly recognized.

Abstract Title 

Arial, font size 12, bold, align left, upper case.

Authors & Co-authors 

Arial, font size 10, align left 

Bold the last name of the author.

Superscript with number to indicate affiliations of each author. 

Superscript with “*” to indicate the corresponding author.

Affiliations 

Arial, font size 10, Italic, align left 

Superscript with number to indicate affiliations of each author.

Abstract Content 

Arial, font size 10, justify alignment, 150 to 300 words.

The abstract content should be informative and stand alone in its content and meaning. It should include a brief introduction, methods used, key results, and a conclusion.
