INTRODUCTION TO SCI-INS 2025

The Scientific Instrumentation Seminar (SCI-INS) is an annual program organized by the i-CRIM Laboratory in collaboration with its various units. This large-scale seminar serves as a platform that brings together researchers from within and outside the university, PhD students, and industry professionals.

SCI-INS acts as a knowledge-sharing medium, enabling participants to deepen their understanding of foundational theories, applications, and research techniques, particularly in testing and characterization using advanced instrumentation available at i-CRIM Laboratory. Additionally, the seminar introduces the various services offered by the lab to the broader public, indirectly enhancing its profile as a premier research hub.

Since its inaugural event in 2017, SCI-INS has received an overwhelmingly positive response. This demonstrates its effectiveness in fulfilling the needs of the research community, students, and industry players by providing exposure to the latest developments in research and innovation.

To continue this legacy, the i-CRIM Laboratory is proud to organize The 3rd UKM Scientific Instrumentation Seminar 2025 (SCI-INS 2025) and Open Day I-CRIM on 18 February 2025 at Hotel Bangi Resort. This program is expected to serve as a key platform for strengthening academic and industry collaborations while showcasing the potential of scientific instrumentation in advancing research.

OBJECTIVES

To promote the laboratory testing and analysis services offered by i-CRIM.
To generate revenue through participation fees and supplier exhibitions.
To establish a platform for knowledge sharing and networking with participants from various sectors.
To provide participants with exposure to the range of analytical services and applications enabled by the advanced instruments available.
