The Biocodex Microbiota Foundation funds research projects focused on human gut microbiota related to health and disease. Every year, the call for proposals covers a specific theme chosen by an International Scientific Committee. Either clinical or fundamental research proposals can be submitted. Theme for International Call for Projects 2021 is “FUNCTIONAL EFFECTS OF THE HUMAN GUT MICROBIOME ON AUTISM”<\/strong> topic:<\/p>\n

Clinical effects of different microbiota interventions (such as antibiotics, FMT, diet, probiotics, etc.) in patients with autism.The grant is open to physicians, PhD’s and Pharm-D’s working in the subject area (gastroenterology, pediatrics, microbiology, infectious diseases and internal medicine, etc).<\/p>\n

There are no geographic limitations of applicants. Candidates from all countries are potentially eligible.<\/p>\n

A principal investigator having already received a Biocodex Microbiota Foundation international grant cannot apply anymore. However, principal investigator of a National Grant can apply for the International Grant.<\/p>\n

Application Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n

All applications will be reviewed by the independent International Scientific Committee according to the following criteria:<\/p>\n

The proposal’s consistency with the predetermined subject<\/p>\n

Its scientific quality<\/p>\n

Its originality<\/p>\n

Its benefit to human health<\/p>\n

The quality of the researcher<\/p>\n

The quality of the research environment<\/p>\n

The feasibility of the project<\/p>\n

Applications should be submitted via email to apply@biocodexmicrobiotafoundation.com using the form provided on website along with supporting documents.<\/p>\n

Grant Size and duration:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The annual grant is set at \u20ac200,000 VAT included, independently of the duration of the project (between 1 and 3 years).<\/p>\n

The maximal duration of the project will be 3 years.<\/p>\n
