{"id":8273,"date":"2024-03-25T01:51:56","date_gmt":"2024-03-25T01:51:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ukm.my\/ikmas\/?post_type=news&#038;p=8273"},"modified":"2024-03-25T04:02:08","modified_gmt":"2024-03-25T04:02:08","slug":"kaneka-corporation-fellowship-program-2","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.ukm.my\/ikmas\/news\/kaneka-corporation-fellowship-program-2\/","title":{"rendered":"KANEKA CORPORATION FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>OBJECTIVE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The UKM-KANEKA Corporation Fellowship Program is a research fellowship program for ASEAN scholars to promote discourse and exchange of thoughts, as well as strengthening relations, among scholars in ASEAN region countries.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates are expected:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Conducting research and publication activities at the Institute of Malaysian and International Studies (IKMAS). The activities can also be conducted other faculties\/institutes in UKM, especially those involved with regional studies and international studies; and<\/li>\n<li>Enhancing knowledge and understanding of the regional developments and of ASEAN member countries in addressing current issues<\/li>\n<li>Presenting series of lectures\/talks on economic, political, cultural or social developments in their respective countries during fellowship period.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates must have on-going research on ASEAN.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates are from ASEAN countries.<\/li>\n<li>A Ph.D holder.<\/li>\n<li>There is no age restriction for entry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DURATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The fellowship will be from 1st Aug 2024 \u2013 30th Aug 2024 (1 month)<\/p>\n<p><strong>FELLOWSHIP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Application deadline:<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>15 May 2024<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Please submit the following document in English:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One page write-up of your existing research topic and expected deliverable from the fellowship;<\/li>\n<li>Cover letter addressing to the Selection Committee KANEKA Fellowship;<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae (max. 2 pages);<\/li>\n<li>Copy of your PhD certificate;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You may attach any other documents to support your application.<br \/>\nPlease submit your application to <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Dr. Norinah Mohd Ali at nira@ukm.edu.my<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PROGRAM DESIGN<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Continuously conducting research in UKM for 1 month;<\/li>\n<li>Engaging IKMAS Fellows on your research and publication;<\/li>\n<li>Presenting a seminar during your stay in UKM;<\/li>\n<li>Producing an article for IKMAS Working Paper during fellowship period;<\/li>\n<li>Publishing at least one Scopus\/WOS indexed journal publication with IKMAS Fellows within six month after the fellowship period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>STATION\/BASE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Candidates would be based in UKM,
